A. Yes. The above diagram illustrates how yProxy works. Your newsreader connects to yProxy and yProxy connects to your news server. When your newsreader makes a request, that request goes through yProxy unchanged and goes straight to the news server. The news server replies with the message you've requested, and it goes through yProxy, straight to your newsreader. If the message is yEncoded, yProxy converts it to UUEncode (the standard encoding) before it passes to your newsreader.
